You can be a streamer
-Tichtac Do you have free time and a decent pc? Do you have a good internet connection (upload) and able to speak in public and take pleasure in it? Do you want to help the community and your division to grow? If you answered yes to these questions, maybe you can be a streamer. TSO is always on the lookout for streamers who are willing to stream a few hours a week on a consistent basis for TAW main streaming channel. The key about streaming is consistency. Streaming once a year doesn't bring up traffic to the channel, but do it once or twice a week does! Summer is on our doorsteps, and students have more time to play (hopefully), so now is a good time to start streaming! You might be asking what can be streamed on the TAW channels? Tournaments, meetings, podcasts, TAW university, mandatory meetings and casual gameplay of any of TAWs supported games are what we are looking for. All these are more than welcome on the channel and we will be happy to guide you through the first streaming steps if you have no experience. If you are interested in learning, make sure to apply to this workshop. Preparation is the key for a good first streaming experience and the workshop is giving you the tools to succeed! How can social media help you? Making good use of all TAW media resources gives more visibility to the community and brings more members in. TAW is more than just a website and Team Speak. Reach out to Streaming Operations for any questions you have about our division or how you can become involved. Follow the streaming channel. Thanks for all the streamers taking their time to stream! TAW EDU: Recruiting
On June 10, TAW Education Center [EDU] hosted another seminar, this time focusing on recruitment and increasing the number of members within the community. This class was officially named TAW University Recruiting, and was presented by LTC Natalino [EFT DC] an experienced recruiter. The seminar focused on why recruiting is important, as well as the how, where, when and who needs to recruit. Finally concluding the lecture with some very important things that do and do not work to improve your units recruitment efforts. The class received positive reviews and appreciation from everyone in attendance. Additionally, the audience was rather unanimous about one thing : it could have and should have been shorter. That issue is be something EDU will be addressing going forward to improve upcoming classes in TAW University.
The information and strategies taught in this class will help all TAW members increase their membership as well as create a more interactive recruitment atmosphere. Recruitment is the lifeblood of a community as large as this. With this class TAW took yet again another step towards long term success. Hopefully members will use these lessons for years to come to enhance and have more successful recruiting campaigns. EDU is very thankful for the support the community has shown for these classes. The success of this class was yet another signal that the University programs and it’s dedicated staff are essential to the continuing education of TAW. EDU will keep working to provide training to the whole community, so be on the lookout for more University classes next month. |
Greetings everyone from SOCOP DC Sloan!
BIG news this month from SOCOP: TAW’s Facebook page has been OFFICIALLY recognized by Facebook. This means nobody else can pretend to be us and we now appear higher up on the search engine as we are verified! Check us out at https://www.facebook.com/TAWOfficialGaming/
In other news, I would like to congratulate Arianni on her commendation of the Distinguished Service Medal. Her recent efforts meant that we received the official Facebook tick, and this award also recognizes her previous efforts in SOCOP. To this very day we still use most of those structures set in place by her. So once again congratulations Arianni!
Please feel free to leave a note on her commendation withthefollowing
