This new page was born out of the idea that the majority of TAW is built around our non-commissioned members. This page will represent those members with questions that will give insight into various subject matter, both personal and TAW related. Could you tell our readers a little about your personal life, e.g. where you’re from, do you work or are you still in school.
I’m from Fairfield County, Connecticut, and will be attending Marlboro College starting on the 20th of August. No, it is not related to the cigarette brand.
Could you give our readers some background on your gaming career?
I play a variety of games, almost exclusively in a casual capacity. In TAW, I am a part of the Overwatch division, though I do enjoy games such as Civilization 5, Heroes of the Storm, Planetary Annihilation, and Tribes Ascend.
What brought you to the TAW community?
A friend of mine suggested it, and after my brother (MrTaco, to those of you in the know) joined it was only a matter of time before I joined in.
What was your first impression of TAW?
I’m not really sure, I suppose I thought of TAW as a group of people who just liked games, and maybe took some of their own rules a little seriously, but other than that I just didn’t really have the time when I was first introduced.
From your point of view, what is one of the most important benefits of being in a gaming community such as TAW and why?
I am not really an expert on this subject, and some of the readers who don’t play Overwatch probably have a different experience as to me. I would have to say that it is too individualistic for me to answer on behalf of the entire readership.
Do you at this point in time, have any aspirations of taking on a leadership role? If yes, why?
No. I don’t have that kind of time or patience.
Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of TAW?
Yes, I am an avid tabletop wargamer. I play Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, as well as the X-wing miniatures game.
