Could you tell our readers a little about your personal life, e.g. where you’re from, do you work or are you still in school?
I’m from the Netherlands and I’m still in school. Aged 16 years old, I’m doing my exams in my highschool and after that I’m going to study a 4 year course of cargo shipping on water. Could you give our readers some background on your gaming career? I started gaming when I was around 10 years old. I once got a game that required me to activate it on Steam, and so I was brought to triple A games. One of my friends told me to start playing World of Warships and World of Tanks and so I did. I still enjoy both every day.
What brought you to the TAW community?
I had some major arguments with my friends at the time and I lost them. Feeling like I had no one to play with, I looked for a community and I found TAW. I knew right away that it was the place I had been looking for.
What was your first impression of TAW?
At first I thought it was just another small, cozy clan with around 10 players. Wow was I wrong. Once I realised there were over 2400 members, I laughed and I filled in my info for the World of Warships division. I knew that even if all my division buddies would be offline, I could still play a game with the other 2350 players in TAW.
From your point of view, what is one of the most important benefits of being in a gaming community such as TAW and why? The real benefit is being able to play as a team. In normal battles, players go wherever they want, do whatever they want and die. Especially in TAW, where we use a military style Chain of Command, you don’t just die. You play with your teammates and work together to take the win.
Do you at this point in time have any aspirations towards taking on a leadership role? If yes, why?
I most certainly do. The reason why is because I want to bring more people in my division. We are recruiting people, but I’d love to see it increase even more. Also, there are some things I would like to change to make the connection between officers and players a bit tighter, a bit more personal. Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of TAW? Not really, I just play some casual games with my current friends outside of TAW.
Thank you to Redshade for telling us all a little bit about himself. We appreciate it! -NEWS
